Welcome to Social Work Library Research
Welcome to the Social Work LibGuide, which is designed to help you save time and improve the quality of information you find. Hopefully, it will make researching a more enjoyable process as a result. Think of this LibGuide as the academic equivalent of "one-stop shopping," or the place to start (and hopefully finish) your research.

Here are the basic 4 steps to follow, with reference to pages in this LibGuide:
1. Get prepared for academic research by reading the information on the links posted in the Research Skills and Glossary sections on this Welcome page. Refer back to them when necessary as you are gathering and using resources.
2. When you have your research topic, learn more about it by using the resources found on the Reference page.
3. Next, use the Databases, Books & Media, Statistics, and On the Web pages to find information about your topic.
4. Finally, consult the information found on the Writing and Citing page to help you write your paper.
You're done!
I add information frequently to this LibGuide, so keep checking back!
Please contact me by phone, email, or by using the Feedback page if you have any suggestions for content. Thanks!
